I am Ken Cao, a Dallas-based art director, and visual designer. My passion lies between the intersection of strategic planning and creative execution. I believe great commercial art can positively impact the world.

My work is defined by complex messages communicated through simple design.

My True Norths

1.be strategic

Most people believe great art and design begin with a shape or color, but in reality, it begins with a thought. Effective marketing is led by goals and strategies. Following that truth, I aim to create beautiful things that efficiently serve a goal.

2.Be collaborative

Great teamwork can breed great work. As soon as we can admit that we do not know what we do not know, we can begin to be receptive to the unique skills and perspectives of our teammates or clients. I view each project as a team sport, even the fastest receiver is nothing without a strong quarterback.

3.Be curious

All forms of learning inform all other forms of learning. I like to learn, whether it is new software or how to aquascape a freshwater aquarium. I bring my life experiences into my work full force, because our unique experiences allow us to make original work.
